Welcome to my blog
As of today, playing cards are now included with our Peg and Jokers and Marbles and Jokers games. The price of the games remains the same!
This is a funny video of Carol Burnett's Family playing "Sorry", which happens to be very similar to our "Aggravation" board games.
My shop will be open open to the public today from 6-9pm. Stop by if you're in the neighborhood. Mention this post for a 10% discount.

Working on a possible new product. A 4-player Aggravation Game Table made of sapele (mahogany). With pegs.

The company (FastComet) that hosts my web store here published a short spotlight article about me. Check it out here:

The Web Hosting service that hosts my email is having problems. The contact form does not work right now and order notifications are not working. They are working on it. I will update this when the problem is resolved.
This was fixed yesterday, but is now acting up again with the same problem. They are working on it...
5/2/2016 - Email is fixed. Permanently, hopefully!
I've moved everything from my old store to here because my old ecommerce provider quadrupled their prices! The process took 3 weeks but I think the result is better than the old store. I can now easily create complex product options and quantity discounts that were almost impossible in the old store.
If you encounter any problems here, please let us know!
I made this cutting board and 9 others a couple days ago. Stop by the shop Friday to see them or take one home.
In the last year, the cost of walnut has doubled and its quality has decreased. From what I've heard, the best walnut is now being used to make walnut veneer for plywood. The latest load of walnut that I bought had about 20% of waste: knots, sapwood, etc.
So, I'm going to change to Sapele wood for my Pegs and Jokers and Marbles and Jokers games. Last year, the cost of Sapele was higher than walnut. Sapele is practically identical to African Mahogany. I can't tell the difference. They look and smell the same to me. The transition will happen soon. A large load of Sapele is being shipped here now and I'm on my last few walnut boards. When I'm down to the last couple of boards, I'll make note of the fact that the walnut boards are replaced with sapele on each of the product pages that are affected: Pegs and Jokers and Marbles and Jokers.
I still have quite a few walnut Aggravation games in stock but don't know if or when I'll make more. So if you want one, get it now.
[Edit] As of Dec 11, 2014, we are sold out of walnut Aggravation games. We're sold out of maple and oak aggravation games too.
One year ago April (2012), I moved most of my woodworking equipment from my basement to a rented space at the Hungerford Building here in Rochester, NY. The building is an old factory that used to produce soda syrup and has since been converted to shop space for artists and craftsmen. On the first Friday of each month, many of the artists have an open house/sale. If you're in the Rochester area, stop by! It's at 1115 E. Main St. Enter Door #1 and walk down the stairs. Don Strenz Woodworking is the first door on your right.
