End Grain Cutting Boards

End grain cutting boards are made so that the end grain of the boards are on the top and bottom of the cutting board. They are less abrasive on knives and they will somewhat self-heal after the knife cuts into them. They tend to last longer than edge grain cutting boards and are used in the kitchens of restaurants.
