In Pegs and Jokers, players race their pegs around the track by drawing cards. The first player to get their five pegs home wins the game. You can also play with teams.

The game is also known as Jokers and Pegs and the Social Security Game. The game is similar to Parcheesi and Sorry, which were derived from the ancient Indian game of Pachisi.

Pegs and Jokers is particularly popular with RVers. It is portable and stores neatly in its box.

For ages 7 and up. 4 to 8 players.

Hardwood Game Paddles

Each hardwood game paddle is 12" long and 3/4" thick. They are finished with a durable urethane finish. Most of the woods are harvested here in Upstate New York from replenished forests.

You get 8 game paddles made from four different hardwoods. 2 Maple paddles, 2 Cherry paddles, 2 Sapele (mahogany) paddles, and 2 Oak paddles. Or, check the Dark Wood option if you want to get Sapele (mahogany) paddles only.

The paddles interlock with round mortise and tenon joints (see the photos).

You get 6 pegs for each game paddle: A total of 48 painted wooden pegs of six different colors. Colors are Green, Yellow, Blue, Black, White, Cool Gray, Pink and Red.

Although 40 pegs are needed to play an 8-player game (5 pegs per player), our unique design adds a stationary peg to the top of each paddle. This design allows each player or team to choose both a hardwood paddle and a peg color. Players can easily see each color's home position even if all of a player's pegs are in play.

Each paddle is 12 inches long and about 3" high. They are 3/4" thick solid hardwood. The game paddles can be connected to allow you to arrange them in a hexagon or rectangle to fit most any table.
* A 4 player game consumes 12 inches square.
* A 6 player game consumes 20 inches square.
* An 8 player game consumes 27 inches square.

Great game workmanship excellent.
Excellent workmanship
There were a couple of things that caught my attention, but it's been a while since I brought it out to play. The first thing that caught my eye was the Poplar wood, I didn't care for that much, it's a wood that I use in my cabinet shop to build cabinets that will be veneered or covered with laminate, it's a cheap wood and not much to look at. Another thing was the pegs, they fit in the holes to loosely and many times when you place the peg in a hole it doesn't stay and pulls/falls out when you pull away, they just don't engage the hole very well. I do have fitment issues with a couple of the pieces when assembling the board, some corners just don't have the flexibility to open widely without binding. Then there is the hole that is used to mark your color on your side of the board, it can be very confusing to new players because it is positioned right between the Home and Start rows. Also, Just as a matter of convenience, it would be nice to have the 8,10,'Out' positions marked somehow, to make it easier to count and having a point of reference. It would also be nice to have the hole just outside of the entrance to 'Home' be marked as well. Overall, I'm satisfied with the game and have used it several times, but I'm out gunned when it comes to other peoples homemade boards, they have something to be proud of and have taken careful considerations when building and mapping out their games, I can't compete with my board. It's not really a 'Show and Tell' piece. Hopefully, you're not offended with my review, it was as honest as I could be.

Thanks for the review, Ron. I don't use poplar wood anymore. I've substituted rock maple. I do appreciate your honest review.
I purchased (2) pegs and joker boards from Don and I have been very happy with my purchases. Don's woodworking pieces are beautiful and very attractive. He pays attention to all the details when coming to woodworking. I would highly recommend his products to anyone, who wants a professional looking board.
I have gotten numerous compliments about the set of 8
that I purchased. They get used on the average of twice
a week.
If you are looking for a great game that you can play with your family or with friends over drinks, look no further. The design of the board is sturdy and easily converts from 4 to 8 players. I cannot speak highly enough of this product. !!Buy the 8 player version, you will be surprised how this game becomes a hit and more than 6 people want to play regularly!!
extremely well made, only suggestion would be to use different color to show start area since it is so close to home
Don's boards are not only functional and loads of fun, the wood is beautiful. Every time we invite others to play, I end up ordering a set for them because they love it so much. His craftsmanship and promptness in fulfilling your order are worth every penny!
We are really enjoying our beautifully crafted Pegs and Jokers game. The hardwoods used are beautiful and because there are differences in the color it makes it easy to set up for game play. Also, the pegs are good quality. We have a number of friends whose pegs are really cheesy and fall apart. Ours are pretty colors and they actually stay in the holes. Thank you for a good, quality product. I really appreciate the excellent craftsmanship! I definitely give this product a 5 star rating.
Beautiful, unique wooden board game. Just love it. You'll appreciate high-quality workmanship. We can't wait for family game night.
