This is our 8-player hardwood Pegs And Jokers board game. Players race their pegs around the track by drawing cards. The first player to get their five pegs home wins the game. You can also play with teams.
The game is also known as Marbles And Jokers, Jokers and Pegs, the Social Security Game, and Jokers and Marbles. The game is similar to Parcheesi and Sorry, which were derived from the ancient Indian game of Pachisi.
Pegs and Jokers is particularly popular with RVers. It is portable and stores neatly in its box.
For ages 7 and up. 2 to 8 players.

Full instructions are included in the box.
Our hardwood game paddles are 12" long and 3/4" thick, are made from four different hardwoods and are sealed and finished with urethane to last for generations!
The game includes everything needed to play up to 8 player games except for playing cards. Playing cards add to the shipping cost and many people already have decks on hand so we don't include them but we do provide them as an option.
♦ 48 wooden pegs of eight vivid colors.
♦ Printed playing instructions.
♦ A velvet draw string bag to store the pegs.
♦ Eight 12" solid hardwood Pegs & Jokers game paddles made of 4 different hardwoods.
♦ Your game arrives in a reusable white cardboard box that can be used to store the game.
You only need to supply 4 decks of playing cards. Decks of playing cards add weight to your package which increases your shipping cost so we offer the option to purchase decks of playing cards separately.
Each hardwood game paddle is 12 inches long and is finished with a durable FDA approved urethane finish. The wood is harvested here in Upstate New York from replenished forests.
You will get 8 game paddles made from four different hardwoods. 2 Curly Maple paddles, 2 Cherry paddles, 2 Walnut or Sapele (mahogany) paddles, and 2 paddles of another hardwood. The forth hardwood depends on availability and will most likely be ash, ambrosia maple, oak, birch, or ash.
The paddles interlock with round mortise and tenon joints (see the photos).
You get 6 pegs for each game paddle: A total of 48 painted wooden pegs of six different colors. Colors are Green, Yellow, Blue, Black, White, Cool Gray, Pink and Red.
Although only 40 pegs are needed to play an 8-player game (5 pegs per player), our unique design adds one stationary peg to the top of each paddle. This unique design allows each player or team to choose both a hardwood paddle and a peg color. Players can easily see each color's home position even if all of a player's pegs are in play.
Each paddle is 12 inches long and about 3" high. They are 3/4" thick solid hardwood. The game paddles can be connected to allow you to arrange them in a hexagon or rectangle to fit most any table.
* A 4 player game consumes 12 inches square.
* A 6 player game consumes 20 inches square.
* An 8 player game consumes 27 inches square.

My mom had a Pegs and Jokers game that had pegs that just sat in the holes and they would fall out. This is perfect because the pegs are really pegs that push into the holes.

The wood is really nice and this is a great game. We love it and everyone we play with have a lot of fun playing also.

Have my own. Purchased from you one year ago. One of the best group games ever. The two sets I just got from you are destined to be Christmas gifts, since everyone whom we introduced to this game have raved about it!

We purchased this game as a thank you for our neighbors and know they will be thrilled with the quality and flexibility of this game. Being able to adjust the playing surface to accommodate the number of players will be fabulous for them. They introduced us to the game so know it will be a hit.

I really like the different woods used for the board pieces, and the boards are well made. I looked at several different sets, but bought this one because they use ADK woods. I got the 8 player set, so the board can be set up for 4, 6 or 8 players. The set arrived quickly. It would be great if there was also a wooden storage box available for the set!

Looks great with no noticeable defects in workmanship. My only (small) disappointment was that the pegs do not fit well in the hole at the joint of each board. perhaps a circular groove on the bottom board would allow the peg to seat better. all-in-all a great board game and well worth the money.

I thought I was ordering a Joker Board set with marbles (not pegs). The boards are also too small. It would be nice if they were about 3 to 4 inches longer.
REPLY FROM DON:
Hello Jerri. Realize that if you're not happy with the game you can return it. I thought that naming the game "Pegs And Jokers" would make it obvious that it uses pegs. The size of the game is shown in the description, plus there are photos showing the dimensions. This is the only complaint I've ever had about the size, in 4 years of making them.

I really like the versatility and ability to make the shape fit the table. Only drawback is that it would be nice if the home and castle areas were colored as it's a bit difficult to see from across the table.

I play Jokers with several groups and have bought sets for gifts. My last set was damaged by a water leak. This is by far the best looking set I have seen. It's easy to put together and nice to look at.

The Pegs and Jokers game is beautiful and very well-made. We played with 2 teams of 3. The Pegs slide into the holes easily. There was some confusion about the 6th hole and we decided not to use the 6th peg to mark the home color. I think one taller peg or a short flag of peg colors might work, or just doing away with that extra hole. All in all, a nicely made game board. The box it comes in is also big enough to accommodate 4 decks of playing cards. I might "pretty up" the box with some self-stick shelf paper!
Also should note that the game arrived only 5 days after I ordered. Very fast delivery.
